In response to Hermann Goering’s quote about the food shortage in Germany (due to the Nazi regime’s increased spending on military equipment), “Iron has always made a nation strong, butter and lard have only made the people fat.”
Hermann Goering was a porker, by the way. And John Heartfield was awesome.
